SUMMARY:Introductory Mountain Biking - CAPE COD Marstons Mills by Spaulding Adaptive Sports Center
DESCRIPTION:Introductory Mountain Biking – CAPE COD Marstons Mills by Spaulding Adaptive Sports Center\nNew in 2021!! Are you looking for a new way to challenge yourself? This introduction to mountain biking will take place in the woods and on the relatively flat fire roads of Cape Cod. This year\, we will be enjoying the event via Zoom\, from the comfort of our living rooms. Note that we are conveniently hosting the event from 4pm to 6pm EST so that you can still enjoy a day at the mountain\, and join us for the Après! \nThe main goal of the event remains the same as always: to bring together adaptive monoskiers\, instructors\, and anyone interested in the world of adaptive skiing to share knowledge\, to learn from each other\, and to receive top notch ski instructions and advice from industry experts. \nThis year’s event will include discussions about recent developments in the world of adaptive skiing\, equipment maintenance and adjustments\, and review technique through video analysis. We will also go over recent innovations in mobility\, and invite attendees to participate by providing photos of their monoski or other new sports equipment\, a short video for the movement analysis\, and to share stories of recent innovations. \nThe event is generously sponsored by Inntopia and made possible by the collaboration of Green Mountain Adaptive Sports\, Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers\, Eastern Adaptive Sports\, and the Kelly Brush Foundation. \nVisit https://greenmtnadaptive.org/events/virtual-apres-monoski-clinic-and-chat/ to register for this free event.
Research shows that getting away from the noise and havoc of daily life by finding reprieve in the tranquility of nature makes people happier\, less stressed and more energetic. On Cape Cod we are very fortunate to have so many opportunities for off road riding\, there is nothing like riding down a trail\, no noise from cars\, just an occasional fellow biker or dog walker along the trail. \nCost: \n$20.00  Per session \nWhere:\nBarnstable Conservation Lands \n\nParking:\n73 Crooked Cartway off Race Lane\nMarstons Mills\, MA \nWhen:\nSunday\, January 10\, 2021\n \nTime:\n10:00am-12:00pm\n12:30pm-2:30pm \nDue to Covid-19 we would like to encourage as much use of personal equipment as possible. Our new fleet of recumbent mountain bikes\, both arm and leg-powered\, will allow people of many different abilities to ride off-road. \nCost: \n$20.00  Per session \nWhere:\nBarnstable Conservation Lands \n\nParking:\n73 Crooked Cartway off Race Lane\nMarstons Mills\, MA \nWhen:\nSunday\, January 3\, 2021\n \nTime:\n10:00am-12:00pm\n12:30pm-2:30pm \nDue to Covid-19 we would like to encourage as much use of personal equipment as possible. SUMMARY:New England Chapter Office Holiday Closure
DESCRIPTION:So that all may enjoy time with family and friends\, the New England Chapter office will be closed December 24 through January 1 to celebrate the holidays. The office will reopen January 5. \nDuring this time of gatherings and celebrations\, as we sit in the comfort and safety of our homes\, please think of the sacrifices of those deployed around the world in harm’s way\, as well as\, their families. And that they’d be safely and quickly reunited with one another. \nWishing everyone a very happy holiday season\, and for health and prosperity in the new year.
