DESCRIPTION:Indoor Archery Clinic by Gaylord Sports Association\nCome and try this sport of skill and accuracy by registering for one of our Archery Clinics! Clinics are designed for individuals with a physical disability or visual impairment to learn about and participate in the sport of archery. Participants will receive instruction from a level IV Certified USA Archery Coach as well as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to give the best possible instruction and support independence. Both beginners and advanced archers are welcome and all equipment is provided. \nThis clinic is located indoors at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare\, Roncari Recreation Hall in Wallingford\, CT.  Participants may register for the first session from 1:00-2:00pm or the second session from 2:30-3:30pm(*This session will be available once the first session fills).  COVID precautions will be utilized for social distancing and infection control; Participants and instructors will be required to wear masks.  Maximum number of participants per session is 4.  Pre-registration is required.  Call 203-284-2772 or email sports@gaylord.org to register. \nAbout Gaylord Sports Association\nThe Sports Association is a program of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare and is based out of Wallingford\, CT. DESCRIPTION:Boccia Open Play by Gaylord Sports Association\nJoin us for Boccia Open Play!  Boccia is a throwing sport of precision which has been adapted for athletes with mild to severe physical disabilities using a few modifications. The object is to place balls closest to the target ball by throwing or rolling the ball using a ramp. Games are played one on one\, in pairs\, and teams of three. \nAll are welcome to learn this game of skill and strategy! Pre-registration is required and COVID-19 protocols will be used for all attendees and staff. Masks will be required.  \nThere is a limit of 4 participants.  There will be 2 sessions: 1:00 PM- 2:00PM and 2:30 PM – 3:30PM(This 2nd session will open when session 1 is full). \nCOVID precautions will be enforced and all participants will be required to wear a mask.  Preregistration is required. Golf Clinics are designed to provide adult golfers with physical disabilities and visual impairments the opportunity to work with a trained PGA professional\, Certified Recreation Therapists and volunteers to adapt the sport of golf\, overcome barriers\, and support independence. \nBeginners and returning participants are welcome and all equipment is provided. There will be 2 sessions: 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM and 3:00 – 3:45 PM(This session will open once the 1:00 PM session is full). \nThere is a limit of 3 participants per session. Each golfer will be cycled through each station in 15 minutes increments. There will be a driving\, chipping and putting station. \nCOVID-19 protocols will be used for all attendees and staff. The clinic will include instruction from pickleball experts\, equipment and game play.  This event is open to anyone who is interested in learning about and playing Pickleball. Sport wheelchairs will be available if needed.
