National Service Officers

The Chapter has an extremely close working relationship with its area Service Officers and stays in regular communication with them regarding member and facility needs. This past year our area Service Officers total veteran contacts were 7,064 of which 83% were PVA members or eligible for membership. Our Services Officers were instrumental in assisting these veterans receiving $5,757,993 in benefits in Massachusetts & Rhode Island and $3,888,562 in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Service office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Service Officers are located within the VA facilities and regularly visit our members and other patients while in the hospital. They also periodically visit other VA SCI Clinics throughout New England. It is through these visits and referrals from the Chapter that our members receive assistance in applying for benefits, entitlements and filing claims.
