Kristen McCone Gordon

Kristen McCone Gordon has significant experience providing policy analysis and advice to high level government officials at both the state and federal levels. As a national security professional, Kristen served as both a Policy Analyst in the Department of Homeland Security and as a Foreign Affairs Specialist in the Department of Defense. Among other state government and campaign roles, and prior to joining the New England PVA staff in February 2020, Kristen had most recently served as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. Kristen also has experience working with corporate executives, as she spent several years working at a professional services firm that brought together board members of leading companies in peer-based forums to discuss corporate governance challenges.

As the Chapter Government Relations Director, Kristen is responsible for managing and supervising the activities of all legislation and advocacy programs. She represents the interests of Paralyzed Veterans of America and the New England Chapter before the Congress of the United States and in state, local agencies, and relevant civilian organizations and entities. When asked why she chose to work for New England PVA, Kristen remarked, “This role has enabled me to leverage my experience in public policy, the skills I’ve honed working with executives and board members in the private sector, and my passion for the legislative process. Above all else, serving as the Government Relations Director has allowed me to give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for this country.”

Kristen has a BA in Political Science from Boston College, and an MA from Georgetown University. She lives in Medfield, MA with her husband and 2 young children.
